Pune-based Medtech Startup IntegriMedical Introduces Needle-Free Injection System
IntegriMedical, a medtech startup based in
Pune, has unveiled an innovative needle-free, spring-powered injection device
aimed at making drug delivery safer and virtually painless.
The Needle-Free Injection System
(N-FIS) administers medication through the skin using a high-pressure,
hair-thin liquid jet, completely eliminating the need for traditional
hypodermic needles.
Founded in 2020 by Sarvesh Mutha,
Ankur Naik, Scott McFarland, and Mark Timm, IntegriMedical is addressing two
major challenges: needle phobia among patients and safety risks for healthcare
workers.
“Needle phobia is more than just
fear—it often leads patients to avoid essential, even life-saving, treatments,”
said Sarvesh Mutha, Managing Director at IntegriMedical.
He highlighted that N-FIS
significantly reduces the likelihood of needle-stick injuries and
cross-contamination, offering a safer alternative for healthcare professionals.
